The Zodiac
Montano St. Jules
Description
The unifying thread of our existence is not in our physical appearance, but in spirit; we are all one family. The physical differences between us are no more to be feared than flowers of varying colours and sizes. The Zodiac communicates a concept of racial unity through appreciation. When one sees a flower of particular beauty, appreciation for its uniqueness is not restricted to its particular genus; it should be the same for humanity. Image Credit: Montano St. Jules, 2021.
“I wish this project to be a catalyst for the understanding and appreciation of, not only the Black race but various races and peoples of cultural diversity.” - Montano St. Jules.
A graduate of the Ontario College of Art, Montano has been a commercial photographer for over 15 years. Montano’s work has been featured in magazines and advertising campaigns, and is often a reflection of stimuli and manifestations of things that are not only outside, but thoughts and beliefs within himself.
